Skye’s the Limit
Multiple Award-winning Skye’s The Limit, directed and edited by James Appleton, produced by Cal Major.
The award-winning Skye’s The Limit documents my solo circumnavigation of the Isle of Skye on stand up paddle board in 2017; 200 miles of wilderness, rugged beauty and fierce ocean. The film aims to show that even these remote and stunning places, and its animals, are no less vulnerable to plastic pollution, but that there is positivity on the horizon.
Expect to see the Isle of Skye in all her dramatic beauty, to be enveloped in this epic adventure, and to feel inspired and empowered to protect these places from single-use plastic.

Skye’s The Limit has been shown to over a hundred thousand people around the world, from its place of inception, Scotland, to as far away as China and Africa, and has helped to educate and inspire children and adults alike. Praise for Skye’s The Limit:
“Incredibly inspiring; moving and impactful. It’s made me want to try new things and change my negative relationship with plastic!”
“Everything about this film is really great. Not only a great cause, story, cinematography and music but Cal’s personality and passion for trying to rally people to help and stop littering and to recycle in the first place made it just that much better. This is definitely worth an award as the cause through this adventure needs to be seen”
“I work with young vulnerable children and their families and it’s great to have some stories to motivate and inspire them (also now planning my own expeditions).”
“Really inspiring. Fantastic to have an injection of female inspiration.”
“Really great. Loved the interview with the adventurer from the SUP film [Cal Major]. Definitely made me think about using less plastic.”
“Enlightening Reassuring Exciting. Please bring your film tour to more places!!”
